Senior adults - ambassadors

Welcome to Ambassadors Ministry with Senior Adults

 "Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; 

we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. " 2 Corinthians 5:20

OUR PURPOSE: Meet the spiritual needs of mature adults, as well as provide encouragement to them, in our church, our neighborhoods and surrounding communities through:

  1. Interactive programs of interest to senior adults  
  2. Adult Bible Fellowship groups (Check for available classes at the Information Center)              
  3. Visits to seniors with limited mobility in their homes or in hospitals to share with them faith in Jesus Christ and to offer hands-on help as needed.  
  4. Daily phone contacts by faithful volunteers with isolated home-bound folks   
  5. Ambassadors Programs - Fun and Fellowship with other seniors Luncheons Day trips Picnics Concerts Overnight trips
  6. Worship services and hymn sings in senior residences . Serve Christ together as a way to encourage one another    


Ways YOU Can Help Us Help Our Seniors

  • Weekdays at NSBC – lead or help with: Bible Studies Hymn-sings Sing-along
  • Serving seniors off-campus Visiting home-bound, folks living in long-term care residences
  • Providing transportation to/from appointments
  • Doing minor home maintenance Helping with shopping trips
  • Leading one or more of the following in Long Term Care Residence: -- Bible Study -- Worship Services -- Hymn-sings -- Sing-along


Serve on the Ambassadors Planning Committee to supply more ideas and help make all these things happen!
