Summer missions weekend

'Reaching Those Who Are Still Unreached'

Our speaker for all three services is Matt Paschall with United World Mission, working among the Syrian and Afghan refugees seeking asylum in Central and Western Europe.  PLUS, a special exhibit of The Wall of Unreached Peoples, a 140 ft, 27 panel wall documenting the more than 6,700 unreached people groups remaining in the world today.  When Jesus left us the Great Commission, "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations..." (Matt. 28:19), the nations he spoke about were not countries on a map, but ethnos, or peoples.  In missions people groups are regarded as, 'the largest group within which the Gospel can spread...without encountering barriers of understanding or acceptance [such as language].' An 'unreached people group,' then, is a group among which there is no community of believing Christians large enough to evangelize their people.  World-wide, more than 4 of every 10 people are a part of an unreached people group.

Don't miss it!
